Great pics! Can't wait for it to open.
SkyWheel Myrtle Beach (02-16-2011)
The plan is still to be open by June?
That area is going to explode soon if they can keep adding things to bring people back into that Pavilion area. I wonder if it will hurt business at Broadway at the beach?
They keep talking about the VIP gondolas but I haven't seen it mentioned how long they will stay up, surely it will be longer than the average ride?
Based on the pictures it looks like the the wheel will turn toward the ocean is that right or will it be turn north and south?
The SkyWheel will be open in May and we are so excited about it! This attraction is unique to the Myrtle Beach and surrounding areas, so is only going to add to the many, many reasons to vacation and play in Myrtle Beach. The VIP gondola design and plans are still in the works, but you can count on an experience like no other! The SkyWheel flight alone is going to elevate your perspective of the entire Grand Strand and you are going to be treated absolutely first class...but the VIP flights will be beyond your expectations and will include very personalized customer service in a specially outfitted gondola. The SkyWheel is positioned perpendicular to the Atlantic Ocean, so is going to allow you an incredible view of the ocean, coastline, and far into the interior of South Carolina. We look forward to seeing all of you there!

SkyWheel you got me excited now. How long does it have to stop to let people on and off and does it turn a few times and then stop or does it stop a lot more frequently?
When will the first parts of the wheel go up?
How long does it take to complete a turn on the wheel?
