I'm changing my drivers license to SC later this week and I wondered if that will allow me to get discounts at any places around town? I like taking the kids to Ripley's Aquarium, Family Kingdom, etc. It would be great to save some money at these places.

Many local businesses and bars offer discounts to locals. You may have to check with each of them before going. I think it's something that many offer but may not advertise a lot.

I think you will find that many places offer discounts if you show them your local ID. One place I take advantage of often is Angelo's Steak and Pasta. They give 10% off to all locals.
