    Oceanfront condos in Myrtle Beach

I was considering buying an oceanfront unit in main Myrtle Beach and wondered if anyone has opinions on specific resorts since this will be a rental. Thank you.

Prices and interest rates are low so it would appear to be a good time to buy.

Remember that because of the economy you will not be able to demand as much for your rental.

When I first started buying oceanfront properties I studied each resort and paid very close attention to their overall occupancy. If you're going to be on their rental program make sure they stay busy. Also it's important that you consider the POA they charge and what percentage they take for having your on the rental program.

Keep in mind that you don't have to go on the resort's rental program. I rent my properties myself and may look into using the classifieds here since they're free.

Picking the right real estate agent is very important if you're going to make this investment.

Definitely the best advice. The right agent will be able to pull up rental numbers and give you a very good idea of what you can expect.

I have a lot of experience in this area and if you would like to PM me I would be glad to help. I'm not a realtor so I'm only looking to help.

There are many great buys right now. Since prices went down I've been able to pick up some excellent buys and couldn't be happier with the return through rental income.
