Coastal Uncorked to host oyster festival

MYRTLE BEACH, SC – The Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival will be hosting an oyster roast to kick-off the 2011 festival.

The oyster roast will take place Feb. 20 at the Sea Captain's House from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., and guests can participate in fresh oysters, live bluegrass music, spirits and wine, desserts and more.

During the oyster roast, an announcement will be made regarding special guest judges for the festival's Food Challenge event scheduled for May 15.

Guests will also be informed on all the activities to take place at the festival, which will take place May 8 through May 15.

Tickets for the oyster roast are $20 and are on sale now. They can be purchased at shop.coastaluncorked.com.

Yeah they do taste different. I like the roasted ones better and you are far less likely to get sick off of them.
