Broadway at the Beach getting two new restaurants
Menu flip at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach
Broadway restaurants set for April
A new Italian restaurant and a Mexican restaurant will fill the empty spaces at Broadway at the Beach that were left when Burroughs & Chapin Co. Inc. ended contracts with the previous renters.
Carlos'n Charlie's, which plans to move into the former Tony Roma's space, will serve soup, salad, sandwiches and seafood with a Mexican twist, said general manager Jerry Lomeli. It plans to repaint the building and add carousel horses, if the Myrtle Beach Community Appearance Board approves the plan.
"We were planning since a long time ago to open a restaurant here," he said. "We were just waiting for a good location."

Lomeli said with the name recognition and the traffic at Broadway at the Beach it will be a good fit.
Capriz, which will move into the space occupied by Tripps Restaurant, is a family-style all-you-can-eat Italian restaurant. It plans to add a covered terrace, repaint the building and replace the roof if the CAB approves the changes.
